What Is Affiliate Marketing?

Affiliate marketing has many descriptions, yet all have the same meaning. Affiliate marketing is a huge business piece on the Internet. It is a cooperative effort between merchants and an affiliate’s website. For many years now, affiliate marketing has proved to be a cost-efficient, measurable method of delivering long-tern results. It has become famous for Internet sites who are trying to make some extra or additional income for their site. Every day, people get interested to affiliate marketing and want to make money out of it. But in many cases, these new affiliates do not fully understand the affiliate world and make costly mistakes. In other words, affiliate marketing has often been misunderstood.

One of the common misconceptions that are being associated about affiliate marketing is “selling”, though selling is an important activity of affiliate marketing and the central function of a business operation. Another is that affiliate marketing is commonly linked with “advertising”. While the importance of advertising in marketing a certain product is not to be underestimated, the fact of the matter is, advertising like selling, is merely a part of the many functions of marketing.

In affiliate marketing, an affiliate is compensated for every visitor, subscriber and/or customer provided through his efforts. The said compensation may be made based on a certain value for each visit. The most attractive aspect of affiliate marketing from the merchant’s viewpoint is that no payment is due to an affiliate until results are appreciated. <br><br>

Affiliate marketing is typically being run by affiliate networks and this affiliate networks are composed of two functional bodies, the group affiliates and the group merchants. Each has their special function and role when it comes to affiliate marketing. The affiliate network acts as a third party between the merchant and the associated affiliates. The network provides the technology to deliver the merchant’s campaigns and offers. The affiliate network also collects commission fees from the merchant and then pays the affiliates which are part of the program.

The merchant is any web site owner that wants or desires to take advantage of performance based marketing. The benefits to the merchant are many. First, the merchant maintains and operates the affiliate program. If it would be extracted, the merchant needs to do their part by researching interested affiliate websites to ensure that they are a good fit for that particular website. Finding a fit for their merchandise would be the key to more generated income. The merchant has access to markets and customers without him spending valuable time searching out. Banner ads on affiliate sites are not distracting to the site user. It might produce interest for that product and drive the consumer to the merchants’ website. It is also the merchant who decides how much he is willing to pay for each sale that results from a visitor sent from an affiliate.

The affiliate or the affiliate marketer also sees a lot of benefits. The affiliate is a web site owner that promotes one or more merchants and their affiliate programs. Affiliate marketing can generate a full-time income for the affiliate. But this is not an easy task to accomplish. The affiliate needs to have a better understanding with the merchant what the commission will be, expected payment method and time involved in the contract. The affiliate has also the responsibility to stand for the merchandise their user based would be most interested in. For example, if the site has a user base of mainly stay-at-home mothers, then on-line job openings such as surveys would be a good match for them. This group would also appreciate direct links to children’s products and informational sites. Merchandisers often provide targeted, best-seller items and personal support to their affiliate. They often offer sales promotions that will benefit the merchandiser as well as the affiliate.

Affiliate marketing is a great situation for both the marketer and the affiliate. If they would work together, they can be an advantage to both. Plus the fact that it seems to make sense, it is easy and inexpensive way to start, and you can be up and running within a few days. But there is one thing to consider, it is how to get traffic and make your offer different than all others.

Why Own a Norfolk Terrier Dog as Pet

If you are planning to get a Norfolk terrier pet dog, here are some

things you should know:

The Norfolk terrier originated from England. It is actually very

affectionate and does not exhibit a disagreeable nature. Because

of this, many people like to keep them as pets. However, there

can be quite some difficulty housetraining a Norfolk terrier pet

dog. This is because of the fact that a Norfolk terrier pet dog

can be quite stubborn. The best method recommended for this breed

is crate training.

What is crate training? Well, it involves training your Norfolk

terrier pet dog to stay in a crate when it is left unsupervised.

Used humanely, a crate can be a great den for your Norfolk terrier

pet dog. This will help your Norfolk terrier pet dog when it needs

some sort of privacy or alone time. This will also train your

Norfolk terrier pet dog not to soil around the house. One

advantage of crate training is the fact that you can be reassured

that your pet will be safe even if it is left unsupervised.

Traveling will also be much more comfortable, since your Norfolk

terrier pet dog will have adjusted to his den.

A Norfolk terrier pet dog does not naturally shed its fur. This

fact has a good side and a bad side. On the good side, no shedding

means no mess. This means that they can be kept indoors without

risk of leaving fur on your floor. However, you do need to take

your Norfolk terrier pet dog to a groomer twice a year in order to

strip the coat. This is done in order to promote the growth of a

new weather-resistant coat. In a sense, this allows your Norfolk

terrier pet dog to freshen up.

In order to properly care for the coat of your Norfolk terrier pet

dog, you need to brush it at least twice a day. This will help get

rid of tangles and prevent matting.

Ideally, a Norfolk terrier pet dog should be kept in a place with

a fenced yard so that it can have a large space to romp around.

This is because of the fact that Norfolk terrier pet dogs thrive

on activity. Boredom for this breed usually leads to destruction

so you should try to keep it occupied.

The best quality that a Norfolk terrier pet dog exhibits is the

ability to get along with other pets. They also love children.

This means that kids will have a lot of fun with a Norfolk terrier

pet dog. You should be careful however, as Norfolk terrier pet

dogs may perceive smaller animals as prey.

One thing that may be admired in a Norfolk terrier pet dog is the

fact that though it is not aggressive, it is generally a

courageous breed. Because of this, a Norfolk terrier pet dog can

make an excellent watchdog. Another factor that contributes to

this is the fact that a Norfolk terrier pet dog is usually very

alert and will bark immediately to alert the family.

Before you get a Norfolk terrier pet dog, you need to make sure

that you gather as much information as possible. By understanding

the different aspects of the Norfolk terrier pet dog, you will

make sure that you have the ability to care for one.

The Scruffy Little Hunter Dog: Border Terrier

The Border terrier got its name from the area called Cheviot Hills, which is actually near the border of England and Scotland. This is where these dogs were made to attack and terminate predatory foxes.

They have wiry coat that is why they normally appear as scruffy. However, this scruffiness is an attention-grabber that is why owners do not forget to hug their little ball of energy.

The following are some of the basic facts breeders would really love to know about Borders:

Category: Terrier

Living Environment: indoors (highly recommended); outdoors

(fenced yard)

Coat: wiry and short; double coated

Colors: tan, red, grizzle and tan, and/or blue and tan

Height: between 11 and 16 inches

Weight: between 11 and 16 pounds

Temperament:

Naturally,

• they are scruffy, hard and bold hunters

• they are active as puppies but mellow down as they

mature

• they are not friendly with rabbits, rats, hamsters,

and even birds

• they are economical to feed

• their activity die down when left alone all day as they

really love to please people especially their owners

When properly trained,

• they can get along with the household cats but not with

cats in the neighborhood

• they may even catch a burglar

• they may lose timidity when accustomed to active

environments

Breeders should note of the following health issues:

• Canine Epileptoid Cramping Syndrome or CES, also

called as “Spike’s disease”, which is a hereditary,

neurological, metabolic and muscle disorder that is sometimes

confused with canine epilepsy

• Cataract, or loss of transparency of one or both

lenses of the eyes

• Cryptorchidism, wherein testicles do not descend

into the scrotum

• Deafness

• Skin problems and a few skin allergies

Care and Exercise:

• Their coat needs weekly brushing.

• They should be professionally groomed at least twice a

year.

• They should bathe only when necessary since they shed

little to no hair. Their physique requires a regular exercise

routine which includes a daily play time while on leash.

• They should be on leash while walking in public places

because of their hunting instincts.

Origin/History:

The exact origins of Border terriers are obscure but many

breeders accepted the story that the variety was developed

in the Cheviot Hills area, which is near the border of Scotland

and England. The Borders have been used as hunters of rabbits

and hares. They can even keep up with running horses with their

short yet sturdy legs. They were also used by farmers to lure

predatory foxes into their dens before killing them.

They were also trained to hunt otters, marten, and even fierce

badgers. Like most terriers that were once molded as hunters,

they also evolved as pets and became lovely, friendly, and

loyal companion dogs. They also take part in dog shows and

they can easily grab their audience attention with their

agility, appearance, and bright disposition.

The breed was registered by the British Kennel Club in 1920 and

by the American Club ten years after.

At present, Borders are highly favored as companion dogs and

pets due to their adaptability, friendliness, and winning

personality. Nonetheless, they can be reliable when it comes to

tracking down vermin. In fact, some of their esteemed talents

include hunting, guarding the family, and performing tricks and

sports that require competitive obedience.

Like most terriers, you can be rest assured to have a loyal and

bright companion dogs if you give your attention and affection

to a Border. You can be sure that they can definitely drive away

your bore!

Avoiding Impulse Spending

Answer these questions truthfully:

1.) Does your spouse or partner complain that you spend too much money?

2.) Are you surprised each month when your credit card bill arrives at how
much more you charged than you thought you had?

3.) Do you have more shoes and clothes in your closet than you could ever
possibly wear?

4.) Do you own every new gadget before it has time to collect dust on a
 retailer’s shelf?

5.) Do you buy things you didn’t know you wanted until you saw them on display
 in a store?

If you answered “yes” to any two of the above questions, you are an impulse spender
and indulge yourself in retail therapy.

This is not a good thing. It will prevent you from saving for the important things
like a house, a new car, a vacation or retirement. You must set some financial goals
and resist spending money on items that really don’t matter in the long run.

Impulse spending will not only put a strain on your finances but your relationships,
as well. To overcome the problem, the first thing to do is learn to separate your needs
 from your wants.

Advertisers blitz us hawking their products at us 24/7. The trick is to give yourself a
cooling-off period before you buy anything that you have not planned for.

When you go shopping, make a list and take only enough cash to pay for what you have
planned to buy. Leave your credit cards at home.

If you see something you think you really need, give yourself two weeks to decide if
it is really something you need or something you can easily do without. By following
this simple solution, you will mend your financial fences and your relationships.

What you need to know to apply for a credit card

One of the disadvantages of modern times is that people tend to acquire so many things they don’t really need. Numerous gadgets and services occurred targeting a vast market of consumers and this emergence of various inventions somehow blinded people.

Since finances—especially money—is one of the major concerns of many people, a wide array of financial management services and financial options emerged. One of the most visible among the unending line of financial management services there are is the credit card.

Although many people testify for the financial convenience you get when you apply for a credit card, it doesn’t mean that every financing convenience applies for you or for everybody in that matter.

When people apply for a credit card, there is always a reason. It can be for managing their finances, needing extra money or in preparation to a big expenditure. But, no matter what the reason is, people apply for a credit card because of the ultimate convenience it brings. By now, you may have had your share of ‘pre-approved’ credit card offers in your virtual and physical mail. Since people are quite vulnerable when they apply for a credit card, some credit card issuers lure these people by giving low introductory APR, no annual fee offers among numerous perks. The tendency of this so many alternatives and “value” deals is to sway the person who wants to apply for a credit card.

There are undeniably endless lists of pros and cons when you apply for a credit card, but if you really have decided to apply for a credit card, these are some of the helpful tips that can guide you on your credit card shopping journey.

Actually, there are three easy steps you should follow if you have decided to apply for a credit card. First, surf the net and do some research on credit cards. By doing this, you can familiarize yourself with different credit card terms and types. Second, you can compare numerous credit cards that would best serve your needs and lastly, you may now apply for the credit card of your choice by filling out a credit card application by visiting a bank representative or through online.

In order to find the right credit card fast and easy, first, before you apply for a credit card, make sure you mastered the credit card terms. When you apply for a credit card you must know what a “credit card” really is. Being a form of borrowing that involves charges, credit cards usually have underlying credit terms and conditions affect your overall cost. So, it’s best to compare terms and fees before you apply for a credit card and agree to open an account. Some of the important terms to be understood well include the annual percentage rate or the APR.

When you apply for a credit card, you must know how the APR affects your credit account. Being a measure of the cost of credit expressed as a yearly rate, the APR should be disclosed before you apply for a credit card so that you would not be obligated on the account and on your account statements later on. Aside from APR, the periodic rate must be disclosed to the card holder before they completely apply for a credit card so they would have an idea of their outstanding balance and finance charge for each billing period. Other important terms to know before you apply for a credit card are free period or “grace period,” annual fees, transaction fees and other charges, other costs and feature, and balance computation method for the finance charge like average daily balance, adjusted balance, previous balance, and two-cycle balances. If you’re not that type of person who is patient enough to research on all these terms, make sure that before you apply for a credit card, the issuer will give an explanation how the balance is computed and it must appear on your monthly billing statements.

About online trading

About Online Trading
The invention of the Internet has brought about many changes in the way that we conduct our lives and our personal business. We can pay our bills online, shop online, bank online, and even date online!

We can even buy and sell stocks online. Traders love having the ability to look at their accounts whenever they want to, and brokers like having the ability to take orders over the Internet, as opposed to the telephone.

Most brokers and brokerage houses now offer online trading to their clients. Another great thing about trading online is that fees and commissions are often lower. While online trading is great, there are some drawbacks.

If you are new to investing, having the ability to actually speak with a broker can be quite beneficial. If you aren’t stock market savvy, online trading may be a dangerous thing for you. If this is the case, make sure that you learn as much as you can about trading stocks before you start trading online.

You should also be aware that you don’t have a computer with Internet access attached to you. You won’t always have the ability to get online to make a trade. You need to be sure that you can call and speak with a broker if this is the case, using the online broker. This is true whether you are an advanced trader or a beginner.

It is also a good idea to go with an online brokerage company that has been around for a while. You won’t find one that has been in business for fifty years of course, but you can find a company that has been in business that long and now offers online trading.

Again, online trading is a beautiful thing – but it isn’t for everyone. Think carefully before you decide to do your trading online, and make sure that you really know what you are doing!

Throwing my life away

Throwing my life away

Am I wasting my time

Chasing after rainbows

Is there any sense

In what I am doing right now

I am afraid that I have lost you

So I track your online activities

What you are doing is just

Making it worse.

I know everything I need to know

I can see what you have become

But I still love you so much

Am I just plain stupid

Have I lost it now too

I believed in you

In your love for me.

So I continue to hope

That you will not leave me

That you will come back

Hour after hour I sit in front of my computer

Waiting for you to come online

Waiting for an email

Waiting for something

Hoping you will tell me it was

Just a bad dream

emptiness

So empty right now and so alone

Head pulling in one direction

Heart pulling in the other

What to do

What to do

That is the only question

Running through my mind

Did I deserve it

What did I do

Is it fair

Life isn’t fair

Nothing is

Sometimes we draw the short end of

The stick and never get another

Chance for another draw

A life permanently in ruins

From the beginning a disaster

Hope and happiness was short-lived

Now back to disaster

Nowhere to go

No one to turn to

The darkness is unkind

The daylight is unkind

Every memory a knife in my heart

Every photo a bullet

How many ways to die

How many ways to ache

Inside is the darkest pit

The emptiest hole

Stretching into nothingness

Will it go on forever

Please where is hope

Where is love

Where is it all

The dreams

The plans

The color is gone

Everything is dark and grey

Everything dull and dingy

No sunshine

No flowers

No scents

No music

Everything hurts

Everything causes pain

The sight of a child

No longer brings a smile

Just a painful memory

Joy once shared

Now gone

Forever

Or not

Is hope still around

Has hope left for good

Reduced to begging

Reduced to nothing

Reduced to loneliness

Once so happy

Once so in love

Now just pathetic

So very pathetic

Try to be strong

Try to hold on

Can insanity be stopped

Can life carry on

No future

No hope

The first TV.

Nobody in the neighbourhood had yet bought a TV. We had absolutely no clue as to what it actually was. We had been hearing about it on the radio but had not yet even seen one and I was too young to understand what this thing called a TV. was.

The kids used to play in backyards or front yards or in the park until suppertime everyday and the grown ups would sit on the porch and chat or sit inside and listen to the stories on the radio.

One day, the family, a couple of house down from us was all quiet. The kids were not out on the street playing and the parents were nowhere to be seen. The rest of us kids thought maybe they had moved out or that someone in the house must be seriously ill.

We decided to go and find out what the story was because we were missing our friends.

The oldest of the group of us that went, and there must have been about twenty of us, knocked on the door and when the granny answered she invited all of us to see the television that they had bought.

This was amazing. Moving pictures right in your living room and with sound too. Of course all of those early TVs were black and white.

So everyday after that we would all gather at their house and watch whatever was on.

They even moved the tv so that those who couldn’t get in could still see what was going on.

Then all of our parents started going over to the Castle’s house to see what all the fuss was about, because it was all us kids were talking about.

Eventually my dad was persuaded to get one too and before you knew just about everyone in the neighbourhood had one.

The show I remember most was “Dallas”. This one was on at six. So we would hurry to get bathed and have dinner and then plonk down in front of the television and watch the goings on on the ranch in Texas.

There were so many others over the years and a lot of them were good, it’s a pity they don’t repeat some of them today for our children to watch. Today there is just such a lot of rubbish on and you have to be so careful what the kids are exposed to.

Back then, as I said earlier, all the TVs were black and white and the stores where selling a colour screen to hang in front of the TV to make it look like it had colour.

My dad was never satisfied until we got our first colour TV.

The colour had to be perfect so he spent a lot of time adjusting the colour and moving the aerial around until it was just right.

It was a sad day, though, when they shut down our favourite radio station. We used to listen to stories on the radio, even though we had the TV. The station shut down because it lost 90% of its audience.

We were left with just the TV for entertainment.

I still miss those radio shows and no other station has attempted to put stories on since the advent of TV.

Buying a puppy.

When I was five years old we bought a puppy.

It was a Saturday afternoon and we went to fetch my mom at work.

We arrived there early and sat outside in the car to wait.

I man came past with four puppies in his arms and a Maltese poodle on a leash.

I begged my dad to buy one of them for us and eventually he relented and asked the man

how much he wanted for the puppies.

Dad did not have enough so I ran to my mom, in the clothing store where she was working, and asked her for the balance.

The transaction was completed and the man handed the puppy over to me.

She was so beautiful, and as white as snow.

I couldn’t wait to get her home and start playing with her.

I don’t know what breed of dog she was. She did look a little like the Fox Terriers, but I think she must have been mixed.

We decided to name her Tracy, after a character in a radio show.

Tracy grew to become my very best friend.

She was the most faithful and loyal dog I ever came across.

We had a nanny that looked after us and she left Tracy outside when she left for the day.

When we arrived home, the first thing I did was go looking for the puppy. I couldn’t find her anywhere and I began to worry.

Mom went out to the backyard and found little Tracy in the drain.

Fortunately she did not go too far down and was stuck quite near the top.

We got her out and gave her a bath.

When I was sick she wouldn’t leave my bedside and if anyone made as if to hit me she would go for them. Truly the best friend a little girl ever had.

I used to dress her in baby clothes and push her around in the pram.

My mom taught her to make a sort of grin and she used to do that just for my mother.

As I said, she was snow white, but in the summer months her coat would go a light shade of tan, especially when she had spent the whole day outside in the sun.

Unfortunately Tracy went blind and we had to put her down.

I was at school the day they came and took her away.

After school, when I arrived at home, the house had an empty, dead feeling to it. My best friend of many years was no more. We had played together, when I came home from school she was always sitting at the gate waiting for me. Now after so many years she was gone and I could not tell you how much I missed her and what a huge impact she had made on my life.

I have had other dogs since then, but none can compare to that little white dog that I loved so much.

Earliest Childhood Memory

I remember sitting, playing on the steps in our old house and a big dog

coming to play with me and ending up pushing me down the stairs. The dog was

not aggressive, just overly friendly.

My mother says it is impossible for me to have remembered this because I was

only six months old at the time.

Maybe Mom is right and I have just heard it so many times that it seems to be a

memory of what really happened or do I really remember?

I remember the staircase, it was old dark wood and curved towards the bottom and

the dog was a German Shepard. I had on a white baby grow. I remember laughing at

the dog and my mom was sitting nearby.

The house was dark and old and there was a very high window above the staircase.

My mom says she never told me all those details and they are a true description of the

house we were living in at the time.

I ask again a real memory or did I hear it too many times and just picture in my head

of what it might have looked like?

I don’t know what to think. I prefer to think of the whole thing as a distinct memory,

even though I was just six months old when it happened.

Tell me what you think.
